Great Lakes and East Coast Pro Staffers met up in VA Beach this past weekend to hammer the rockfish out of Rudee Inlet. Mojos on 50lb super braid with 70lb and 100lb fluorocarbon leader material pounded fish all weekend. The gannets were in the cyclone and the menhaden running for their lives!

Excellent fishing continues again for us landing 7 steelhead and a walleye on a short 4 hour trip this morning. Blood Run 10lb fluorocarbon on the plug rods, 8lb fluoro on the float rods. Brad’s wigglers standing on their heads for us.. Nice water flow out there coming down fast from last week. No severe cold will keep the rivers open well into January extending our spectacular fishery!

Fantastic weather and great fishing continues on the river right now with easy limits of steelhead. Blood Run Tackle 10lb fluorocarbon leaders on plug rods and centerpin floats all got smacked today. River flows are consistent, temps are steadily cooling which are packing the fish tighter and tighter into prime spots. There are just a ton of steel in the rivers and great action is expected right through the winter months!

It’s game on out there right now on the Kalamazoo river with limits of steelhead being taken. Our customers are having a choice of fishing opportunities from hot shotting, and float fishing with centerpins. The water is very clear so it is critical to have fluorocarbon leaders on everything! We are running Blood Run 10lb fluorocarbon leader with great success on float leaders, and stepping up to 12lb Blood Run fluorocarbon leader on our plug rods. Hot N Tots and Kwikfish in green pirate, and golds have been very good. Spawn takes fish when we are dropping float rods, and we have been doing well on yarn balls as well. Trying out some new gear (centerpin reels, plug rods, UV yarns, floats) in the next couple of weeks, we look forward to reporting on our success!

Fast and furious limits again this morning by 10 am Profishient takes 20 and War Ensemble takes 16 kings and cohos in 3 hours. Blood Run wire divers are destroying the fish right now, mainly a spoon bite for us. No time for copper rigs as the bite is too hot. Awesome fishing continues!

Blood Run Super Braid fishing line is a 4 strand UV resistant oval- shaped zero memory Dyneema braid. Comparatively speaking to a “Spectra” braid which is 8 stranded coated fiber, Dyneema braid possesses better abrasion resistance due to its denseness of fibers and lack of “coating” found on Spectra’s. The oval shape of Blood Run braid compared to that of the rounded shaped Spectra allows for greater resistance to spiny water fleas found in the Great Lakes.

Blood Run super braid has a weight lighter than water, which allows it to float, which is perfect for centerpin float style fishing in lighter pound tests.
